Fire/Rescue Training
MFD‘s training facility is an Alabama Fire College State Approved Training Facility. Located behind Alabama Southern Community College, on Agriculture Drive, sits 4 acres dedicated to the training of the Monroeville Fire Department. The facility includes a two story burn building, a four story drill tower, a flammable liquids pit, a vehicle extrication slab, a pump test pit, a SCBA consumption course, high angle rope rescue facilities and confined space rescue training pits and tunnels.
The department holds training meetings each Monday night, taught by Certified Fire Instructor I’s. It is our goal to achieve 100% 160 hour certification for our volunteers to allow us to provide the best possible service to our citizens.
